PostSubject: When the Moon Trembles [Invite]   Sun Nov 15, 2009 6:46 pm

How pertinacious was this mammalian creature’s feeling of dread. His gaze imbibed an abominable environment, to which he, as well as others, possessed no ability of their own to indulge upon. To his front, sides, and rear stood firm the jailing bars of his cage. A glance elsewhere would yield a similar sight; all creatures of his species, Eevee, left to look upon a collection of the planet’s cancer. These humans donned elongated coats of white, their clipboards imbued with the majority of their attentions. What lay upon the table their hunched structures enclosed could hardly be deciphered. Only portions were visible behind the human-forged blockade; but whatever it had been had suffered through terrible, abrupt mutations until its life had been snuffed out. Surely, it would soon be his fate as well.

Its crimson stained, bone-perforated physique lay motionless, spiritless, as the encompassing bodies moved to shift their attentions upon him. While one attended to the mess, removing its remains, one moved towards his metallic entrapment. Peaking overtop his shoulder, bathing within florescent radiance, was the stone responsible for it all.

“Alright little fella, maybe you’ll be the lucky one?” stated the individual as he began to unlock the cage’s door. The fiddling digits ceased their movement, however; something had caught his attention. The Eevee had long since pressed himself against the opposing side of the cage, but found something new to fret about. The prior situation, the fear it drew to it, had been discarded for another as movement overhead caught the attention of all within the room. “…The hell is that?” one hollered, the soundings of a crash following soon after. A lizard clad in a deep red rose from the crouch he had sank into following his descent from the vents overhead. A simper gleamed from the slim portion of visible bestial visage, soon to disappear as its focus fell forward.

Streams of flame erupted from its mouth, swift and potent. Cries of anguish mingled with frustration and confusion saturated the area. A great effort was made to flee the room, egos holding firm an obligation to summon the building’s security to place this lowly creature in its place. With the room temporarily swept of the human threat, it turned its head towards him. The face radiated with an impish merriment, something perturbing. Certainly, it had realized this for amusement burbled to its surface. The same stream of flame tore forth once again, towards him, and with his sight obscured by the luminance of perdition’s physical manifestation, he awoke. His consciousness had returned to the present, the effects of his travels within the realm of dream trickling away within the soundings of the adjacent river.

Track: PKM Opening Theme!

Within minutes passed, the Umbreon could be found making his way towards the nearby lake the river melded with, eyes lambent as they traced a heavenly body of white trembling within the surface of its waters. Of course, it was foolish to think of such a seemingly omniscient body trembling, so he corrected his line of sight. The moon in all its cryptical glory hung within the sea of nullity above, its incomprehensible body donning miniature spheres of fluttering light, stars, alike majestic jewellery. However, there was a feeling he could not dismiss; but regardless, his gaze lingered upon the satellite above.

Though the time of day did not correspond with its time of day, this particular cerulean shaded feline surely did not mind the frigid climate. Its pace was slothful, but perhaps this had been courtesy of the location which had thieved her utmost attention. The disconsolate face of the moon, it was intriguing. The acne-esque craters which the winter wonderland bore, like a spherical glacier with a blanket of snow woven around its mass. The Glaceon's gaze would diminish with a quick shake of her head, before it would quicken its pace towards the serene waters its destination was bound to. The duration of days which had elapsed since she'd last had water would weaken her, for prior she had been investing the majority of her time into attaining another vital thing --food.

A deathly sonnet would play with each blade of grass she would tread upon to make her way there. Eventually it would arrive, too thirsty to pay heed to the Umbreon which had been directly adjacent to her. Lengthy fabrics of fur paved endings would dip into the water as she lowered her head to take a drink. At first it had been drinking ravenously, until gradually that would be put to a cease, and it would commence drinking rather elegantly. Allowing its head to motion upwards, it would exhale, breath short and very swift, before finally, it would come to notice the kindred next to her.

A merger of awareness and knowing, albeit cryptic, pulled his attention from the sky and towards the origins of this alien feeling. What emerged from the shades of the night-robed trees was a Glaceon, tinged with a bewildering familiarity; however, knew her he did not. This brought to his surface an expression somewhat taken aback. She approached with an absolute lack of heed within his presence, her closeness urging him into making room for the ostensibly fatigued being. He observed quietly, the peculiarity of the moment seemingly constricting him. These intangible bindings were short lived, however, fading into the scantily existent white noise of the night as he learned forward. His eyes remained upon her for only a short while until they fled to the lake’s burnished surface. Too asocial and awkward was he to begin a conversation, so he became a mere reflection, drinking with a rivalling elegance to the adjacent figure.
